SUSANA YOUNGSTEADT
BIO
An Ohio native, I completed a master’s degree and post-grad studies in Rhetoric, Linguistics, and Literature, focusing on poetry and the meaning of meaning. After a career as a writer for news outlets, magazines and textbooks, I turned to the visual arts.
In 2000 I began four years of academic studio-art coursework at Crealde School of Art in Winter Park, Florida.
I began a full-time art practice in 2008 and opened a studio in 2014 at FAVO Motel Studios in downtown Orlando. I converted the studio into a gallery in 2023 and began painting at home.
